The inaugural event of Careers, Life, and Yale is a university-wide workshop on careers that "give back," entitled, "Being Useful: Careers in Education, Health, Public Service, and Social Entrepreneurship.” This workshop will feature morning sessions on important life skills - envisioning your career and life, interviewing, understanding business etiquette and being a global citizen. The afternoon will feature a keynote address by former Yale Corporation trustee and founder and CEO of Mercy Corps, Neal Keny-Guyer. His address will be followed by panel discussions in a Q&A format on the four career sectors covered by this workshop. A networking lunch and evening session will allow for one-on-one interactions between students and alumni participants.
